Korea Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy(MOTIE) unveiled its huge investment worth a total of 1,141 billion won this year in R&D activities focusing on the material and parts technology development while the government budget worth 427.4 billion won has been was set aside for new R&D projects too. First, a total of 69.4 billion won will be invested in the technology relevant to semiconductor, display and aviation & space projects, and the government supports 35 new projects including GaN semiconductor processes including device and module, XR material development , TiAl series airplane engine pressing device and low pressure turbine blade. MOTIE also makes a new investment worth 58.6 billion won in the technology development of 185 items for domestic supply stability. The Korean Government support a total of 54.5 billion won to in the net zero technology development responding to the EU’s CBAM ahead.
