POSCO congratulated February 28 new president & CEO Lee Si-woo(in the photograph) taking office and the inaugration eremony was held with 200 plus staff and directors attending. Newly appointed president Lee joined POSCO in 1985, serving various positions as chief representative at POSCO-Maharashtra, steel production strategy department executive director, Kwangyang Works general supervisor, safety & environment division managing director and production technology division managing director. POSCO president Lee asked in the address to focus on the four strategic directions permeating to: generate a happy workplace, secure steel first competitiveness, move to the low carbon led producing system and establish communication- and harmony-based company culture. Steel is the core project for the POSCO Group in the future just like we have pursued to date, Lee reminded. And all the POSCO family members must integrate their energy, pride and confidence together, aiming world top steel company, Lee urged.
